First: Is use of SIMATIC memory cards for S7-1200 is mandatory??? Second: How to cyclicaly load data to memory card? Which settings and instructions I need to use in TIA portal? PS. I read that s7-1200 use SD memory card, and S7-300 MMC. Can I use SD card NOT SIMATIC for S7-1200. Best regards, Miloš

There is two possibilities - to use the card like a program card or transfer card. See manual about how to do it. And if I understand correct you want to store in memory card data log files.(Sample program: S7-1200 and DATA LOG) Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
