Load Part Programs to NC from PLC or Load Part Programs to NC by way of Visual Basic

erguone Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello there, I've got question or let's say required specification on my new project. I have Sinumerik 810 D with PLC314C-2DP, on the MPI port HT6 operator panel and on the DP port IM151 for distrubuted I/Q addition to this EM-277 module for communicate between s7-200 plc. I havent any problem about designing or connecting or working with the system. there is just one problem is remain that, i want to operate 840D without using HMI Adv. presently we have an one software guy who is prepare user interface for us, this is first time that he use this kind of system. is there any possibility that can we load part or subprograms directly from plc. (for example any PI_SERV???) i try to use FB4 and succes s for the files which ones are allready located on the NC side. I can select and start subprogram (with FB4 and FC9) but i couldnt load any program except using HMI Adv. If there is any sample about using dde or mbdde servers on the VB that it can be also, i heard that there is a possibility to operate program area by way of using VB. On the end, i need to operate program area for Load and Unload operation to NC on my PLC program or on our user interface which one is build up by way of using Visual Basic... If you use an 840D SL there is an hmi integrated into the system which should have the functions you require without requiring external hardware You would probably have to get programs over a network though This is my opinion maybe somebody else knows better. You may be able to use a pcu20 which is the chipset hmi hardware. For the cost I wouldn't really bother to write it all yourselves. Just use the Siemens HMI on your own computer if you wish and put your own front end on it. Pee
