Loading TIA Portal v10.5 PLC program to TIA Portal v11

tonytonbridge Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I have an S7-1200 PLC that was programmed using TIA Portal 10.5, however I am now running TIA Portal v11 on my PC. The original 10.5 project has been lost, and I am trying to recover the program directly from the PLC. When I create a new project in v11 and try to copy the program blocks from the PLC, I get the following error "The block 'Main' cannot be opened because it was created with TIA portal v10.5". How can I access the program in the PLC using v11, when the PLC was programmed using v10.5?

tonytonbridge Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the suggestion. Since I'm running Windows 7, I resolved it by creating a virtual machine and installing TIA Portal 10.5 on that.
