How do I fix the use of local variables
in the TIA Portal, the Simatic S7 V5.5 use a FB 
which have local variables In the example below .

What is your target CPU in TIA portal?S7-1200 doesn't support STL and for S7-300/400 try to export the function as an external source and import it in TIA Portal. The nextway, would be migrating the whole project from STEP 7 to TIA Portal.

And finally, if you have the hardcopy of thefunction, you should implement the function again.Create the input/outputs of function andassign names for temp variables in the function.

I am using a CPU ET200S IM151-8 I copied this function
from a FB S7300 and wrote on FB TIA V12 for utiizar in ET200S.  
You believe because funcionae use this
FB to communicate with network drives in 300 
and it works very well, TIA is giving some 
communication errors

If your importing function to " IM151-8 " is solved without any error and youhave a communication problem between the mentioned "drive" and "CPU ET200S IM151-8", please start a new thread in Communication/Networks conference and explain the subnet you used the apploication in S7-300, type of drive all available details.

The possible communication error may come from the fact that those CPUs have different communication resourses or possibly a configuration problem.
