Maybe a stupid question but I can't find my mistake:
Is it possible that you only have access to Runtime when you
log in? So basically a login screen that pops up when you
start runtime? Or alternatively a login screen that can be
accessed via a button in runtime? It is currently also possible
without a user being logged in. Is there a system function only
for logging out? I'm a little confused and don't know what to do
next...  I use TIA V18, a CPU 1516-3 PN/DP and a Unified Comfort
Panel MTP 1500 :)

To access the Unified Runtime you have to be logged in with a user with "HMI Administrator", "HMI Operator" or "HMI Monitor" rights.

To close the user account you can use the event: "logoff".

To change the user account, you can open a pop-up with the event: "ShowLoginDialog".

as far as I know on a Comfort Panel you always have basic access rights, you don't have the possibility to completely log out.

If you start your project on an empty screen with only a "log in" button that triggers a change screen to your home page and the button needs monitor or admin privileges it should then prompt you with a login.

your logout button will need to kick you back to the empty screen as well as log out the user.

If you were on WinCC RT then what you are describing is the default behavior, you always need to login.
