LOGO-0BA7 function_Average

Hello all,

the LOGO-0BA7 brings along different new function blocks.

In this contribution I want to contribute an application-oriented evaluation of the block "average":

This block "average" make a calculationcalculation of a so-called periodic average to values dating back from n values. This is absolutely circuitcircuit-technically well realizable, however at full use of the solution of the analog inputs for example only up to values n = 32 (with justifiable circuit complexity and withwith limitationlimitation of the entryentry value range Ax of 0 to 1000) possible. In this respect the achievementachievement of this block is remarkable, because according to HB n can be (according to size of the sampling time) up to at the most 32767 and every entryentry value may come from the full analog range of values from -32768 to 32767!
Unfortunately the shortest Value St (total sampling time) is only 1 s, however (The distance between 2 measurements results in this case from St/SN.). Is an applicationapplication of this block for signals that come from analog inputs to avoid the fulfillment of limiting conditions necessarily, around for example a lower scanning and so that where appropriate a measured value falsificationfalsification not recognizable and/or one falsified result of the block.
Comments: From the LOGO!-series 0BA6 there is a possibility of the „filtering of the analog display values in a text message that works also so with which also again can mean a to low scanning frequency of the signal. This procedure (and/or also a corresponding applicationapplication of the block Of "analogous filters") likes to be mademade appear „quieterquieter“ around a display– value where appropriate as "OK" for measured values, but not for values witch are used for further calculations. Is to me naturalnatural of course, that also the signals changing from checking and/or updateupdate installments of the analog inputs with themselves set to the LOGO!-Hardware very quickly to a lower scanning can lead, only at that lets itself (withwith useuse the LOGO!) do not change anything. Every decrease the signum balm tast- and/or. frequency should be avoided, however, so that the digitalized analog values follow the real signal responsesignal response as exactly as possible…

Unfortunately let themselves no block parameter by reference define!

Analysis of the block behavior at excitation of the block input pins "EN" and "R":
If the block entryentry "R" is activated, the current sampling time and the block exit are neglected then. The block entryentry "EN" is put on "0" temporarily, then pauses the sampling time - itit is not put back therefore! (What the developers only thought in this case?) Through that it is not unfortunately possible to start the sampling time WITHOUT rollback (deletion =) of the output value around for example one (unique intermediate or also a periodic) to achieve alignment. A circuit part, that reuses the block output must consider that for the St duration instead of an "old" measured value the value "0" is urgent at the block output...

--> UPSHOT: Alternatively (to the circuits from me already published) the block "average" (only LOGO!-0BA7) can be used to the filtering of the analog inputs, when (and only then) for that parameters time St and number of the scannings SN following conditions are and/or become:

St / SN = 0,300 s (Analog inputs at the basic modul)
St / SN = 0,050 s (Analog inputs at the additional modules AM2)
