LOGO! 230RC programing - beginner

Hi all,

Old LOGO!230RCstopped working so I installed new one without any program. Now I have to program it but it is not going as planned. I don’t have any software for programing it so I have to do it manually on LOGO!230RC PLC.

My program should look like this: One input “I1” should trigger “Q1” output, or timer which is triggering “Q1” every 2 hours for 3 seconds, and then it should countdown 2hours again.

I know I have to use “OR” block but what else should I use in order to get Q1 active every 2 hours for 3seconds?

For some of you guys it is going to be piece of cake, but for me, first time user it is a bit confusing. Thanks in advance.

You can downlaod the programming software for the LOGO. Its called LOGO Soft Vomfort.

A Demo of the programm is for free, you can do everything exept dowload your programm to the LOGO. So you can make the programm on your PC, there is a good simulation in the programm, so you can test it until its working.

Then you can programm the LOGO by using the prograam you have made on your PC. Is possible to do it by hand on the display of your LOGO, if your programm is not very complicated.

On the website of Siemens LOGO there are WBL web based lessons, lessons for how to use and programming the LOGO, its all for free.

It cost you only time.....

I know what you mean and it would be great if I have chance to download the software. But I'm onboard ship where internet is slow like in 1990's, it took me 35min to download 2MB user manual.

That is why I'm still looking for help regarding this. Any help appreciated.

Q1 ok

SF ok down arrow 6 times until you get to asynchronous:

En

Inv

Par

change the En to i1 (input 1) then scroll down to Par. hit ok.

Put your time parameter for time on and time off. hit ok. then back out of the program and start it.

try it, it might work?

The asynchronous pulse generator is just one of the functions available in the Logo programming features. The function has an enable, output and parameter settings. When the function is enabled, it will output a pulse based on the parameter settings. You set the parameters for time high and time low.
