I was also waiting for the MQTT integration.
But I think I will need to update my modules.

After some trial and error I was able to update my LOGOSoft Comfort version 8 to 8.4 on my old Macbook Pro. But now I have 3 older modules installed since several years:

- 0BA7.ES4 with firmware version V1.03.37
- 0BA7.ES4 with firmware version V1.03.37
- 0BA7.ES4 with firmware version V1.03.36

As you can see, these are modules from V7 (many years ago).

I don't think I can just update the firmware to make them work with 8.4 ?

I believe I will need to buy 3 new blocks instead. But if that's the case, I do have another question about my "extension modules". For each module above, I have added an extension module with serial number 6ED1055-1NB10-0BA0: https://mall.industry.siemens.com/mall/en/ww/Catalog/Product/6ED1055-1NB10-0BA0

This module is off course also discontinued, but would it work with a new 8.4 module?

I have 1 more question and hopefully you'll know the answer to that as well.

In my current setup with the old V7 modules, I also have the CSM 12/24 Switch module: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/58403525/logo!-csm-12-24-compact-switch-module-released-for-delivery

I can't find any alternative to this. Would that be still okay to use?

All LOGO!s before the LOGO! 8.1 has no possibility to update the firmware.

Firmware updates are only in the same series possible, e.g. from V1.81.x to V1.81.y.

But not from V1.81.x to V1.84.x.

If you want to use MQTT, you must buy the new LOGO! 8.4.

Expansions module witth order number that ends with 0BA0 or 0BA1 are not compatible with LOGO! 8.x. Only expansions module witth order number that ends with 0BA2.
