LOGO!8 Astronomic clock issue

Torben Aa Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi I am using the astronomic clock block in LOGO! 8 to control the courtyard light. I have however this strange issue, that once in a while, the signal inverts, so the light is on during the day and off during the night. If I invert the pin, it works again for some days or weeks, until the output inverts again. The clock and alt/long are set correct, but the LOGO is not connectee to LAN. Have anyone any ideas on this strange issue?

Can you please upload your program in zipped form? Which LOGO! exactly do you have? Which firmware Version?

Torben Aa Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thanks ixo65 This LOGO is an v8 (0BA8) with firmware V1.08.01. The night light have worked for 2 month now, but now again have been inverted for 5 days, - then again back to beeing not inverted. No programming change or anything else have changed in the installation. I dont have a computer cable and haved programmed it directly in the LOGO GUI, but the schematic is really simple: AC -> NOT -> Q3, where Q3 is directly attached to the light that should be on at night. It changes status at the correct time, morning and evening, as long as I every now an then invert the “NOT” block. Hope you can help

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 34325 Rating: (4276)	The astronomical clock calculates due to the parameters: - Longitude - Latitude - Time zone the location associated sunrise time and the associated sunset time. Between sunrise time and sunset time, the digital output of the clock is on. If a light is to be switched on between sunset time and sunrise time, the clock output must be inverted with a NOT block. I can not say more about that either. And I have not heard of a mistake that changes the output behavior of the clock in between for a few days. But if you want to have an official statement, then start a Support Request.

digitronix Posts: 23 Rating: (2)	That is strange, I've made several projects with this astro-clock without any problems. You can best use the Logo software to create and download the program. In this case you can post the program so that it can be checked.

peterakos Posts: 51 Rating: (5)	I have used the astro clock in several projects all without problems, one i use in my house in order to start stop several lights that can also be manual started stopped. Never i have seen your problem. If you do not want to pay for the full program you can down load the demo version and at least test your setup on a pc. p.S keep in mind that as well the logo clock and date need to be setup correct.

It is much appriciated! after 10 days of working without any problems, the output inverted itself again. now the AC output is OFF between sunrise an sunset, so directly against the specifications. I have the logo software (I have many other Logo instalations) but I dont se how this Can help in this simple case. Register a support case will just take a lot of time and in my expirence not producere any result. When you guys cannot answer, a underpaid supporter will not be able to either, and will ask that I send in the Logo for repair. Since it is also regulating my ventilation, (and I am outside warenty anyway) it not an option. I must just use a China Sonoff or something for this instead. Thanks anyway
