Hey there 'sensitive' people! Thermocouples only produce a very small voltage signal in the range of mV. Different types of TC's produce slightly more or less mV per deg Celcius. (most common or J or K type TC's in industry - do a google search or wikipedia to see how they actually work - quite fascinating!) The on-board LOGO! analog inputsfor voltage 0..10 V or the analog input module, are just not sensitive enough for these very small mV changes when a TC is submitted to different temperatures and temperature ranges. If you have to use a TC, then a small converter 'puck' can be used to generate either 0..10 V or 0/4..20 mA signals that can then be quite easily read in by the LOGO! on-board or expansion modules respectively! See http://www.globalspec.com/datasheets/329/areaspec/mount_thermohead Hope you can work further with the LOGO! with this! Cheers Aaaaarrrggghhh!!! ("Have a nice day!") |
