Hi Bonk! What Helmut_13 means is that the internal EEPROM of the LOGO! where the program is stored can be written to 100 000 times (i.e. downloads). If you have a running program and you are just changing the timer parameters on the LOGO! via the cursor buttons or non-password secured TD (Set Parm mode) or via a message text by pressing and holding the OK button until a cursor appears and can be navigated to the respective displayed parameter and hen edited - ending with pressing ESC, then this does not change the memory durability because you are not downloading the program into EEPROM again. The version on the LOGO! will just be different to the version on your PC. If you use your PC to change the parameters inside each block each day and get them into the LOGO! via a download, then you are going into the 100 000 write cycle area, but I do not think that you will live long enough to make the last timer change in the 274th year! A more elegant way would be to use the TD, together with a menu structure example on the application example page of the site www.siemens.com/logo. You could build a simple menu with up to 50 pages where you could set one timer per page (i.e. 50 timers) independant of each other. You could do this with the application example of setting an up/down counter using F2 & F3 (F1 & F4 used for scrolling through the message texts) and then referencing this value into the necessary timers. Both of these examples have been very well described on this page. You could also set the retentivity of the up/down counters and the timers that they are referencing to so that the times you have set are not lost with a power failure. You might wear out the F1..F4 buttons on the TD though, so I suggest getting some custom printed self-adhesive overlays which will protect the buttons, prolong their operational life and also give you the opportunity to customise the TD display with your own look & feel (see attached) Hope this helps! Aaaaarrrgghhhhh! ("Have a nice day!") AttachmentLOGO_TD_Custom_Faceplates.zip (334 Downloads) |
