LOGO! memory SD card 'UNKNOWN CARD - Esc to get back'

I have problem in using memory SD card

I am using 2GB SD card given by Siemens as compliment

I am using LOG ver-7 PLC and Version 8 software.

I am writing program in LADDER logic. So file name ends with ***.LLD

I am able to Transfer program from PC to LOGO using ETHERNET  connection cable

so also from the PLC back into PC. In both cases the program is maintained in Ladder logic

I mean i am getting back from PLC the program in ****. LLD.

Now if i try to use the MEMORY SD card to transfer program from card to PLC it says

UNKNOWN CARD - Esc to get back.

When i try to get back from PLC into Memory SD card it does copy program from PLC into Memory SD card.

But the file name it gives is LOGO_U_P.BIN

this file extension is not opening in LOGO software

Help me to use MEMORY SD CARD to transfer programs into and out of PLC in LLD format

Guided by you, I could open the that was transfer from = PLC -> PC with name LOGO_U_P.BIN

then i could convert that to LLD format with name .. LOGO_U_P1.LLD

Still the first step is not cleared

that is I am not able to transfer program from Memory SD card into PLC

I tried to safe the program made in PC as ***. BIN that as well i could not do

PLEASE help to save file in MEMORY SD card and transfer the same into PLC

You must insert the memory card with the "LOGO_U_P.BIN" file in the PC.
Then you can read file with LOGO! Soft Comfort.
This is under file> open and then select the directory of the memory card and the BIN-file.

The file on the memory card may only ever be named "LOGO_U_P.BIN".

Another file name is not allowed.

File name restriction and format restriction are part of problem with use of Memory card

Now i could use the Memory card fro transfer file between PC and PLC using the only acceptable file name "LOGO_U_P.BIN"

Really not a good situation for LOGO ver-7 or 8

Earlier version had accommodated different names and both LLD or FBD formats

Hi there, 

I would like to share my experience here.

What i have found is that i will need to have a base file (.bin). The (.bin) need to obtained from the LOGO by transferring the program from the LOGO base module to memory card. Then copy the file in memory card to PC. Then start to edit the program file and when saving the file, we will need to manually select the (.bin) saving format. Then copy the program to memory card (.bin) file. Insert the memory card into the LOGO and transfer to the program from memory card to base module. I notice that i can't save a new circuit program file in (.bin) format. So have to maintain the file name as well.
