Logo product numbering

I recently purchased a logo 12/24RCE to automate some ventilation and lightning control. When just starting with Logo the product numbering is highly confusing. 

When looking to the product numbers of of models with display we have the 230CE 12/24CE and the ones with the R for the relay versions.  Straight forward. 

In many internet discussions the logo is often referred as 0BAx version. Ok initially it seems clear, the device has a number printed on the housing which ends wit 0BA0. Many online shops sell also a Logo with part numbers which ends with 0BA0. A Siemens datasheet from 2019 also show 0BA0 at the bottom, so I assume 0BA0 is the latest version. 

 Then starting Softcomfort, select 0BA0 as the hardware type and the number of inputs does not match.  Here it seems that the 0BA0 is some prehistoric version. When selecting 'determine logo' a whole list of types which can be used pops up, where Logo! 8.FS4 seems the most suitable ( a new numbering scheme ? ) 

I am under the impression that the current 0BA0 is actually a 0BA10 (or 0BAA indien hex ) ?

Or am I completely misunderstanding the model numbering, since I have not seen any references to a 0BA9 ?

And how does this relate to expansion modules ? I have 2 0BA2 expension modules, which initially seem to work correctly, except for the RUN LED, which also remains green when in stop mode. 

I hope somebody can enlighten me a little.
