Hi All,

I need to connect LOGO! 0BA7 through Cisco 4G router to S7-317. There is, say, 5 km in between the LOGO! and S300. Both are in different IP areas (for example 190.90.9.20 and 190.80.9.10). I have made the settings in LOGO!Soft Comfort and downloaded into the 0BA7 device, I think its fine.

The problem is with the S7. Assumably I need to add new connection in Step7 NetPro into the CPU. There is a table below: Local ID, Partner ID, Partner... From the options "In the current project" and "In unknown project" I probably should choose the unknown project. The question is, which would be the "Type" (S7, TCP, FDL...)? It wont let me choose the S7 connection (which I thought it would be) because there is no valid connection. If it was possible, then I would have the desired options to fill, such as IP address, TSAP etc.

What should I do and what did I miss?

Thank you :) but I think I've pretty much cheked those. As far as I know, there is no example of a situation where there is no "physical connection" (ethernet cable...) in between LOGO! and S7-300. I'm just not able to add new S7 connection in NetPro, which I think I need to get done.

Yet, there might be something I absolutely missed.

had rewrite all, so only via <Unspecified> Partner you can create S7 connection. On properties of CPU Ethernet port you can also select Gateway. Don't forget after some chenges recompile all, not only changed. Give info.

Update: only one I don't know if LOGO can take that S7 connection.

Update2: If you have CP and LOGO can make also user communiction over TCP, problem can be solved creating user communication.

Thank you so much. You were right.

The problem was with the gateway: there was no gateway configured. So after adding the gateway, it was possible to add the LOGO! information with different "IP area", of course. I also misunderstood/misread the <Unspecified>, which was the right one. I was just trying with the Unknown project. After all, I feel slightly dumb, but at least it's fine now and I learned something new.
