logo usb cable on mac

FigZZZZZ Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	For some reason I can't get the usb cable working. I keep getting a transmission error that the port is not available, whichever port i try. I am on mac os 10.5.8, logo soft 6.1 Am I missing something? Anyone has it working, or has problems? Attachment Afbeelding 366.jpg (245 Downloads)

Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	As far as i know the driver on the CD (and also in this FAQ) is not for Mac 10.5, only for 10.4. So download the latest driver from http://www.silabs.com/products/interface/usbtouart/Pages/default.aspx. (This is told in the readme). I already downloaded it for you (attached). FigZZZZZ Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thank you for the suggestions - I finally got the usb cable to work. For the benefit of others that may encounter this problem: 1. I repaired permissions (disk utility application) 2. I went into the /var folder, changed permissions on this folder so the current user can read and write 3. I created a 'lock' folder inside it, with permissions so everyone can read and write to it 4. I deleted the permissions for the current user on the var folder (returned it to the previous state) 5. I installed that driver again 6. reboot

macosx Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I also have the same problems. I can't get the usb connection working. I have tried the siemens help desk yet but it looks like they have never heard from mac before. So please, i need some help. When i look for the var/lock file, i can't find it. And I don't know how to create such file... This is really a bug problem that Siemens needs to fix. If someone can help me in Dutch, it would be very helpful. Thank you.
