Hello Folks

Please forgive my lack of knowledge but I need to ask for some help if I may

I have one 6ED1 052 1MB08 OBA1 FS04 with Firmware 1.83.02

Am I to understand that there are hardware differences between FS04 and FS05/FS06?  I am unclear if I am able to update firmware on FS04 ?

I updated my LSC from 8.3 to 8.4 and it works well but I suspect I am not getting full capabilities due to different hardware version.  As always, any help is much appreciated.

The LOGO! 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1 with Firmware 1.83.02 is the current LOGO! 8.3, not a FS4_LOGO!.It is in the hardware selection a LOGO! 8.3.

The coming LOGO! 8.4 has the order number 6ED1052-XXX08-0BA2 with Firmware 1.84.01 and is in the hardware selection a LOGO! 8.4.

So, if I understand you correctly, there is no additional programming functionality or capability from LSC 8.3 to 8.4 unless I update the hardware.  Correct?

I didn't write that.

Of course the upcoming LOGO! 8.4 has innovations.

And the firmware of a LOGO! 8.3 cannot be updated to the firmware of a LOGO! 8.4.

 I should have been more clear - I said "update the hardware" when I should have said "replace the hardware"

There is no advantage to simply update from LSC 8.3 to 8.4 unless I replace the BM 0801 to an 0BA2?

What does the FS04 signify?

In any case, I will be replacing the BM whenever I can get my hands on the new release
