Loop in Alarm does not work with OS Project Editor

thuan_td95 Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	[:D] Hello everyone! I'mdeveloping a SCADA station using WinCC V6.0 SP2. We created/ developedthe projectby using"OS Project Editor" of WinCC Basic Process Control. Now all most function of "WinCC Basic Process Control" is working properly,exceptthe "Loop in Alarm" function is not working although I was double-checked theconfiguration follow the construction [:cry:]. In Runtime mode, when I double-click the Alarm actived, the "Loop in Alarm" button have just invisibled in one second and no more effect.[8)] The question are: - Is the functionavailable on Basic Process Control package? - If YES, what's matter and how to fix this problem? PS, I've alreadydone this function in PCS7, it's OK.[;)] Thanks anyway! Thuan.

However you can do it manually from the Alarm Logging Editor (this is the WinCC way [:D] ). Simply right-click on the message, select Properties and go to the Tag/LoopInAlarm tab to configure which picture you want to open. This FAQ will be helpful if you do this manually : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/70700 Does anyone know of any other way to do this in WinCC ??

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Export the alarm messages within the alarm logging. Then edit the file in a way that it includes also the loop in alarm functionality. We normally use a VBA script for this. After that import the alarm messages file again in the alarm logging. This save a lot of editing time. with regards, Ikkezelf

thuan_td95 Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Hi Salma, Yes, I do as you said. This is instrucstion in manual: In the "Picture name/Call parameter" field, enter the measuring point name, e.g. "FIC_752_003". Replace "OpenPicture" with "LoopInAlarm" by selecting the "LoopInAlarm" functionin the function browser under "Split Screen Manager" and clicking "OK". Do not double click on "LoopInAlarm". If this should happen by mistake, close the supplementary dialog "Set Parameters" by clicking on "Cancel". The problem is in Runtime, when I click the "Loop in Alarm" button or double-click on the alarm line actived, no meaning/ no action.

Can you just double-check in the Alarm Logging Editor that a picture has been assigned against the message? I know it sounds silly but I find it's always useful to check the basics first. Are there any errors in the Diagnose directory log files? Feel free to post the logs here if you wish.

C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\uTools\APDIAG.EXE Select the Output Window menu and then Open All errors are shown in this message window. Hopefully it will tell you what is going wrong. Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Sounds like there is no problem within the alarm logging itself. But in the script that is triggered (LoopInAlarm). Check, as suggested by Salma, with the APDIAG and look in the loopinalarm script. with regards, Ikkezelf
