I have a problem with the communication with one sub station. It loses connection every once in a while for a short time. To give an example, my alarm log is included.

Does anybody know what could cause this? Or do you need more information?

Could the I/O access error come from the interface module?

 Can you post a picture of Diagnostic Buffer Sreen and picture of HW config of Interface module ?

Is this error related to any process action? is there any frequency convertor near to the communication cable? 

Are you in a commissioning phase? or it is an installed plant?

Try to exchange the IMs with the other racks and monitor if the error moves with the IM or it is on the same same rack? 

Yes, AI block smells so much about this problem.

Why don't u try to disconnect all the AI cables coming to them and check the stability of connection ?

Then start reconnecting one by one ... Maybe something is discurbing that input and causes a crazy reading

Not really, the error just comes randomly every 10 minutes.

Yes we need to run tests in this new part of the plant if the software works properly, this cannot succeed if it loses connection all the time and I get runtime errors.

I could change the IM, I will try this tomorrow.

I only use one input from the AI block for my level transmitter. This gives an external fault every 15 minutes. I could look if other wires come out in the other holes and remove them.

But then again it does not explain why the DI signals of my pumps and valves give a feedback/time out error.

It seems that everything becomes faulty due to a general loss.

So I wouldn't be surprised if one module makes "everything" crashing ...

Again, start disconnecting some wires and see what happens. If problem is pretty frequent then it will be easier.
