Into that Vector DB17 stand only the positions of the datarecords for the DB_Scale. Because all DB_Scales has the same structure, you can use the same Vector DB17 for all Siwarex FTC modules. Amit_86 Platinum Member Joined: 3/18/2008 Last visit: 12/8/2023 Posts: 1750 Rating: (272)	Dear Siwarexi, There are few more doubts regarding loss in weight System. 1) is it mendatory to connect pulse encoder signal to loss in Weight Controller?? or else if i have connected Encoder & it got faulty then wheather controller will keep working in Auto Operation? 2)How the actual feedrate will be calculated if there is no encoder signal connected to Siwarex?? 3)What are the command to parameterize to Start Auto operation of Lossin Weight System & to Stop Auto operation of loss in weight System? 4)is it possible to get the actual status of DO in Siwarex FTC in its Scale DB??? i mena if first output is 1, then how can i get the status of that output in my program because i need to turn on another DO of SM322 Module connected with Siwarex FTC module in S7300 PLC Rack. Regarding this 4th point i tried to check the status in its scale DB but it actual Status show me False value all the time. Thansk in advanced.

My answer: It is not necessary to connect a pulse encoder to the Siwarex FTC module for a loss in weight application. A pulse encoder is only necessary if you have a belt scale application to detect the belt speed. 2) How the actual feedrate will be calculated if there is no encoder signal connected to Siwarex?? My answer: The actual feedrate will be calculated with the decreasing weight value on the load cells each 10 ms. 3) What are the command to parameterize to Start Auto operation of Lossin Weight System & to Stop Auto operation of loss in weight System? My answer: You have to execute the commands 165 and afterwards 164 during the commissionig so that the Siwarex FTC module finds automatically the device characteristic curve (command 165) and the PID parameters (command 164). After these commands are executed, it is not necessary to stop anything. Please see also the chapters 2.6 …2.8 into the attached file. 4) is it possible to get the actual status of DO in Siwarex FTC in its Scale DB??? i mena if first output is 1, then how can i get the status of that output in my program because i need to turn on another DO of SM322 Module connected with Siwarex FTC module in S7300 PLC Rack. But you defined a special function to these DO, e.g. DO1 = “Dosing on”. You can find these functionalities into the DR32, e.g. the bit “Dosing on”. That means you can use directly the bits of the DR32 into your Step7 program. As you said i can get the status in DR32 if i have defined DO=1 "Dosing On" But while checking in PLC Program in DB18 (Scale CB) the Status remains falls all the time eventhough the output on FTC module is on. i checked this in Weight Simulation mode. please clerify on this point if possible. Thanks in advanced.

Right now i don't remember the exect Bit no of DB18 because i am out of office. but i can tell you that i chekced in Siwatool software that whenever i turned on Dosing ,the Dosing indication LED goes true(in Siwatool FTC) but while checking in DB it shows me false Value. i checked in DR32/DR7 register in db18 of program also but i didn't get status. Can you please tell me that which bit will get on if i programmed first output of FTC Module as dosing on??? As of now i don't have Siwatool FTC Module with me because it is at customer place so i will not be able to check & reply you the result but i will get back to you as soon as i receive the module. Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/12/2024 Posts: 1160 Rating: (175)	Hello Amid_86, You have two possibilities to see the bit “Dosing on” into the DB18. 1. possibility: If you set the parameter “Process value 2 for output through FB SIWA_FTC” to “Conti-Statusflags” (see also the attached file) then you see automatically the current status of the bit “Dosing on” at the address DB18.DBX26.4. 2. possibility: If you read permanently the DR32 from the Siwarex FTC to the DB18 you can see the current status of the bit “Dosing on” at the address DB18.DBX740.4. The reading of the DR32 happens into the Getting Started project from Siemens into the OB35 each 100 ms (command code “601”: Read DR31, DR32 and DR34). To control if the DR32 is read permanently to your DB18, you can check the following values if there are changing: - DB18.DBD744 (gross weight) - DB18.DBD748 (net weight) - DB18.DBD756 (internal flow rate) - DB18.DBD760 (process flow rate) - DB18.DBD764 (display flow rate) If so the bit “Dosing on” at the address DB18.DBX740.4 is also read permanently. Today i received the Siwarex FTC Module and tested the sample program and i got the status of DO as mentioned in above post. Now i am facing problem regarding Auto Operation of Loss in Weight System.In my case the Source for weight simulation is Simatic. While pressing start grav. button(cmd 158),Auto operation Starts but during gravimatric mode the flow rate becomes extremely high and stays high all the time eventhough weight reduces. i read the manual as mentioned by youbut it didnot cleared me the concept. Can you please give some help regarding Auto operation? Thanks in advanced.

Do you mean the commissioning commands 165 and 164? (These commands are explained into the Quick Guide in the chapter 2.7 and 2.8) Yousimulate the weight valueof the FTC_L via Simatic? How do you do this? Maybe you decrease your simulated weight valuetoo fast so that you have ahigh flow rate. Best regards Siwarexi
