After all kind of trouble and decided to step back to V10.5. So I uninstalled everything related to TIA and WinCC 2007 / 2008 and reinstalled V10.5 basic. (twice). Problem now is that I can't select a PG/PC interface . In the "extended download to device window " there are no possibilities to select a LAN interface. the PG/PC interface settings in Windows ( XP-SP3) are OK. the S7-1200 IP tool is able to see the plc , but can't stop or activate it to run. anny suggestions would be great. thanks in advance

Perhaps might be a necessary to reinstall Windows OS. Or to clean manually registry for "TIA" at least... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

In 10.5 online help there is following text given:

"Communications interfaces are displayed in the TIA Portal only if they already existed on your computer when you installed the TIA Portal. If you have installed the TIA Portal on your computer and then install a new CP (communications processor), this CP is detected by the operating system and displayed in the Windows Device Manager but it is not displayed in the project tree of the TIA Portal under "Online access".

Procedure

To display communications processors installed later in the TIA Portal, follow these steps:

Install/update the relevant drivers if the Windows "Hardware Update Wizard" opens after you insert the device.
Close the TIA Portal.
Select "Start > Settings> Control Panel> Set PG/PC Interface" and close the application with OK.
Restart the TIA Portal.

Maybe this is the solution to this.

Anyway, it is possible to install V10.5 and V11 next to each other. So why did you do the uninstallation?

The only reason for uninstallation is that it doesn't work. I will do a new installation from scratch on a clean PC . That must do the job. we can close this . koenb
