hi henno2000, (1) Did you changed the archive configuration of the tag or alarm logging. (I mean the properties for Tag Logging Fast/Slow or Message archive.) Maybe youhaveconfigured a wrong sizefora single segment and the sizeover all segments, so that the archived valuesare overwritten! (2) In the case of the connection error AND the wincc redundancyoption (may be) a segment change was forced, and the redundancy state was changed too!May be, the archive segments of the standby-server was copied into the folder "ArchiveManager". You can checkthis by using windows explorer. You will find the folder "ArchiveManager" in the project directory. The first information of the filename of each segment is the computername. ----------------------------------------------------------------- informations about the archive segments : ----------------------------------------------------------------- - How is a backup segment, which has been swapped out, connected to or disconnected from the archive manager? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21954320 - What causes new segments to be created in the WinCC cyclic storages "AlarmArchive", "TagLoggingFast" and "TagLoggingSlow"? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/22273427 - Why does the name of exported backup files (archive segments) contain a time stamp which does not correspond to the local time of the data contained in the segment? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/23542699 - To check the content of the runtime database,I would prefer the online table control, becausethe online table control doesn't shows interpolated values. -If you have experiences in Microsoft SQL server, you canuse the Microsoft "SQL Server Management Studio" to display theruntime data of tag logging databases (segments) Note: In SQL Server Management Studio you can see if dataare storedin a spezified time interval. In SQL-Server you can't see the really value, because the logged value are compressed (binary data type). To access the real data you need the connectivity pack. |

Sorted now, I have to close the project, exit WinCC, reset the achives via Tag Logging, restart WinCC and link the archives back. FYI, I check the Achive Manager and noticed that everything was backing up OK until the 31 Oct (Halloween). Spooky I have attached a screen shot to show you what was contained within that folder.
