MAG 5100 / 6000 negative flow

Dear Sirs,

I have a question about commisioning an electromagnetic Siemens Flowmeter 5100 and its flow transmitter 6000:

At start up I realize the flow is shown with negative sign. We checked the flowtube orientation and it is correct.

The 6000 configuration indicate possitive flow direction so we changed to negative flow direction to change the sign. It solves the problem, but I guess it is not normal, because this was not required for other previos flowmeters commisioning.

After this, the magnitude of the flow changes normally when the flow goes to zero.

The question is if the coil connection between flowtube and transmitter has a polarity, so the inverted connection of these cables could produce this sign observation. Is there other cable that should be checked for polarity?

I have a note (of unknown provenance) that if either coil electrode connection is backwards, if 85 is connected to 86 or 86 connected to 85, the flow will be indicated as reverse flow.

Or if the electrode cable is wired backwards, 82 connected to 83, or 83 connected to 82, same problem.
