Mag5000: 4..20mA to 0..10V input S7 1200

Hello All,

I've to connect Mag5000 current output (terminal 31 and 32) to a S7 1200. The problem is that I can't add any other AI expansion module to the PLC.

The idea is just to put 500ohm resistor in parallel  to convert 4..20mA to 0..10V and then connect to terminals 2M and 0 of S7 1200 (Analog input).

Do you thing that is going to work? If not, can you advice me how to do it?

Configure the Mag 5000 for0-20mA (Output > Current Output = 0-20mA).

Install a 500 ohm precision resistor across the analog input (+) and (-).   Any deviation/error from 500.00 ohms is a proportional error in the 0-10Vdc signal.

Install the 4-20mA (+) to (+) terminal and the (-) to the (-) terminal.

Configure the PLC for 0-10Vdc on that AI.
