MAG5000 elctromagmetic flowmeter Type-141C211000

We are using MAG5000 elctromagmetic flowmeter Type-141C211000 with code on the product as FDK083F5001. We are getting a current output from the flowmeter and it gives a current output proportional to the flow but the current varies till 1200 Gpm only but beyond this flow the current becomes constant to about 23.2mA. So can you tell as to how can we increase the range of the output current so that we can get current output till 1500 Gpm flow which will correspond to around 30mA.

You have a maximum flow of 1200 gpm and you want a maximum flow rate of 1500 gpm.

Industrial flow meters use the industry standard 4-20mA output. The 4-20nA analog output is not designed to go beyond 20mA, except for error or fault conditions. The maximum flow rate is supposed to be 20.00mA.It is not possible to get 1500gpm = 30mA.

You need to re-range the settings on the 5000 so that 20mA becomes your maximum flow (1500 gpm) rather than the 1200 gpm it is set to now. That can be done as long as your mag tube (the sensor in the pipe) will support the higher flow range.It isn't possible to determine from the information you provided whether that's the case or not, but give it a try and see.

This quote from the 5000 manual describes the some of the setting involved (measuring range):

Qmax.
Sets the measuring range, the analog outputs and the
frequency output. Value, decimal point, unit and time can
be set individually (setting is dimension dependent).
