Make sure that the .hmi and _log.ldf files match. - popup message

Matt T Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have users of WinCCFlexible (two now) that have received the message: Cannot attach the database C:\DOCUMEN~1\USERNAME\LOCALS~1\Temp\tmp2D.tmp to the SQL server. Make sure that the .hmi and _log.ldf files match. I've looked in the folder to check for the filesand the files are present with a current time and date. Jeebs Posts: 218 Rating: (28)	Hey, Had same problem with WinCC Flex 2005 SP1 Standard. Got the exact same error message upon WinXP login. Is installed, but rarely used. When starting WinCC Flex, you get screen with previous projects, this was empty each time I got the error message. Opened existing project, saved project, closed it and rebooted. No error message. Nemo: -Does the faq also exist in english? My german is not that good, but what I can make of it, it explains how to install wincc 2005 and adjust registry and install sql. -Similar thread is about user rights on project folder. I do not think it applies to this error, since I got full admin rights on WinCC flex PG. If anyone else knows what causes the error/fix it? Greets Jeebs

If this file has become corrupted for some reason then you could try deleting the ldf file and reopening the project. This willl cause it to be regenerated. It's worked for me in the past.

G_H Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Has anyone come up with a way to prevent / restore projects that WinCC Flex corrupts. I am using HotFix 7 and i have to say it is very unstable! I am having to archive every 30 minutes because i get a blue screen of death (only ever in WinCC Flex) quite often. Is anyone else suffering these problems? I have re-installed WinCC Flex but it has not improved things! The 2 files used by WinCC Flex are locked by SQLSERVER, unlocking them changes the problem but the project still cannot be opened. The only solution i have found is to restore the (older archived) project to another folder and start thye mods again. I'm guessing there might be a way to "reset" SQLServer so it no longer has a problem with the project path? any help would be appriciated, i can't be the only suffering this! Iain
