Making Changes in GSD File CPU 315-2 DP

Muhammad Haris Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Greetings, I have a system in Master Slave configration using CPU 315-2 DP. I want to make chages in GSD file so that I can increase the capacity of Maximum Signals that can read. I tried opening the GSD file with NotePad++ but can't find the area where to make changes for increasing the capacity.

Hello Muhammad Haris, Please don't change the GSD file of a device by a text editor.Normally, these changes are performed by the manufacturer of the product.Due to limitations of PROFIBUS telegram, the maximum input and output bytes that can not be increased because it may violate the PROFIBUS limitations.In this case, HW.Config checks all configured modules and inform you in case of rules violations during station compilation. Before ordering a new CP,You should use all possible number of bytes to exchange between master and slave on integral DP port(244 bytes). Attachment 3.jpg (59 Downloads)
