Making report by Excel in WinCC V6.2?

I want to making report by Excel. when I open Database which all tags that i have saved in Taglogging(Uncompressed Tag), all of them are saved in Compressed database. So it is difficult to query the database for making historical data by Excel. Who can help me solve this problem, but do not use any other option of WinCC V6.2? To export the values of the tags, you can use the export-function of the "WinCC Online Trend Control" or "WinCC Online Table Control" To export the tags themselves you can use the Configuration Tool. This tool is on the WinCC CD. You need Excel 2003 on the computer where WinCC is installed. If so then you still need to buy at least "Connectivity Pack" to access WinCC database from external applications.

Manchat Posts: 33 Rating: (6)	A better tool for generating reports in Excel would be DataMonitor. Once the report is configured it can be triggered to run automatically and the result sent by e-mail or stored on a server.

If so then you still need to buy at least "Connectivity Pack" to access WinCC database from external applications. Hi Darius, I have known that with WinCC V6.2 and after version, all tags are configured in taglogging will be transfered to Compressed tag. So we can buy at least "Connectivity Pack" to access the database. But when i install Connectivity Pack V6.2, it is not passed. The diaglog is "Connectivity Pack V6.2 is not install in WinCC version lower than V6.2" although I installed WinCC V6.2SP2 before.

You can try go to "Start->Simatic->Installed Software" and look what versions you have. You can post this info here. The may be some compatibility or corrupt installation problems.

You can try go to "Start->Simatic->Installed Software" and look what versions you have. You can post this info here. The may be some compatibility or corrupt installation problems. Dear Darius, I have tried my best to install Connectivity Pack V6.2 but it's not passed although I Installed WinCC V6.2SP2 before. I think that you may have some compatibility or corrut installation issues. Hi All, I have solved this problem, it is the incompatibility beetween WinCC V6.2SP2 and Connectivity Pack V6.2. But i am not familiar with Connectivity Pack before. It provide WinCC OLE DB Provider, this is abit difficult to use. Any one has experience in this field? Thanks and best regards,
