Mapping HMI Tags Issues Since V13 SP1 Upgrade

Hello all,

I recently upgraded my PG to TIA Portal V13 and soon after to SP1.

Whilst programming a simple S7-100 PLC to Basic HMI project I hit the following issue.

When configuring say a visualisation for the HMI, I try and map the required tag from the PLC, typically from a DB, I get the "TIA Portal has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.

This is something I do a lot and it's only started to happen since the SP1 upgrade.

There is a work-around of course but this takes longer and it's slowing me down.

I did try t submit a support request but the web site a"appears" to have a wee issue also at the moment..

Thats a common Crash in TIA Portal....you'll get used to it.

As That great thinker "Homer" might say...
