MAS 31: OPC and MD720-3 not work !!!

Step7_by_Step7 Experienced Member Joined: 8/4/2008 Last visit: 12/20/2011 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Dear All First of all, i already used in the past (maybe 5 months ago) micro set 31 and it works. Nowdays, i try to make new project with WinCC, and now i have problem that seems to me ridiculous but i can'tsolve it. Then i put so called "configuration part" with WDC_Config_Flex_P0 and WDC_INIT_Flex_P0 then CPU shows tags Config Done and Init Done like it is true, but in modem S LED blinks slowly - waits for PIN. I tried to put this PIN via windows hyper terminal, it responses quickly and make another step Q LED goes light. So it works. But from CPU side it doesn't. I tried a lot of combinations in PPI DIP switch, but what is the one i required ? I gues it must be 01000110. In manual mentioned speed 57600 so first 111 , but it doesn't work also. Shall i see some LEDs like Tx Rx and PPIin thecable adapter blinking ? Maybe the thing is not in the cable. I thought, maybe it is problem with port 0, but i tried another CPU and it is the same. And again, i do not understand, why functions give me Done flag when it is not Any help will be aprpreciated, so thanks in advance ! PS i have read SYH_SINAUT_MD720-3 and SYH_SINAUT_MicroSC

PPI Dip switches like in manual are right. After few secondes CPU is in RUN, you can see Rx and Tx flashing. Data were sent to modem. I would recommand you to set modem to factory configuration. Press the SET-Button on modem until all 3 LED's are ON. After LED stops flashing, try to download your project again. If you want to use the other Port, you have to take the other library. regards

Yes i load WDC_flex_Config and i just wonder why CPU shows at once to me that config is done and int is done, but modem is still waiting for PIN ?! Today i tried sms_init library frommicro set 5with this modem and it is works - terminal mode works correctly. But nothing happens when i use WDC_flex_Config. Modem waits for PIN all the time and i can see that modem is in terminal mode (slow bliks C). If i put for example in hyper terminal "terminal mode" "disable", when modem goes into OPC mode and again waits for PIN, after some time S LED begins to blink very fast like sim or pin error, but they are ok ! I have no more ideas ! In support i did not get issue. Is any opportunity that hardware problem takes place when i try to use OPC mode or it cannot be , because AT mode is ok ?! PS I tried to update firmware and have following istructions from manual, but now all 3 LEDs running consequently all the time and i cannot stop it, even with reboot or SET button

Robster Gold Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 10/23/2024 Posts: 1343 Rating: (141)	Hi, it can be, if modem was in AT-mode before, you can't get in opc-mode. But a reset should help. Was the firmware update successfull or was it aborted during update-process?

Windows shows that login attempt was failed and something like modem not response don't know why!!! Ok, i think it is nothing to do, but only to order new MD720 and try it.

Firmware i did not try update anymore ! Regards
