The different Mass 6000 manuals either omit stuff or put stuff on different pages. My page references come from an older Mass6000 'Handbook' available from this short URL: http://tinyurl.com/9jnd6c7 Check out page 45 where the two different wiring schemes for active and passive are displayed. Note that active and passive outputs each use 2 output terminals of 3 terminals, but each uses different terminals. Active and passive refer to where the power comes from for the output circuit, where active means power is supplied internally from the flowmeter, but passive uses an external power supply to power the circuit. The way I interpret the passive output is a DC power supply (+) on 56, DC power supply (-) on terminal 58. The PLC input is 56 (+) and 57 (-). On page 50, section 6.8 tells about active/passive and shows setting a jumper position for either active or passive. I have some recollection of the necessity to turn OFF the current output when it is not used. If the current output is open circuited, an error code will appear. The error code disappears when the current output is turned OFF. I don't know if the use of the frequency output conflicts the use of the current output. |
