Master Slave DP Communication

Hello,

I wrote a plc program; Master-Slave DP System without using DP/DP Coupler.

It is working very well. However ı want to add the drive ( CU 240 E and 1,5 kW Power Module ).

Hardware configuration is okey. No problem. 2 CPU's RUN green light is ON and at drive RDY light is green.

I added the drive on master plc  profibus system. Because ı can not add the drive on slave plc profibus system.

So ı want to control drive with slave plc by using master PLC Profibus Network.

How can ı do that? Or  Can I transfer the data to the drive with using DIRECTION is  from Slave to Master ?

Hello,

the Slave PLC can't use the DP Slaves which are connected to the Master PROFIBUS Network.
If the slave PLC have no second DP Interface to which the Drive can be connected a direct control is not possible.

You can transfer command frome Slave to master and then the master control the drive depend on the commands from the Slave.

Normally data transfer from Master to Slave is working. No Problem.

But slave to master is not work.  If it is possible ( data transfer from slave to master ) there is something

wrong in my plc program.

If ı can send the data ( With Slave PLC ) and receive them ( with Master PLC ) ı can control the drive

with slave PLC. But now ı can not. Because data transfer not possible.

In profibus Master slave configuration or in Profinet IO controller Idevice configuration, need to map virtual Memory.

I think you have mapped the virtual memory from Master to slave direction only , not from slave to master.

Always output of master can read in input address of Slave and Output address of Slave can read in input address of master.

If its done then it should work from slave to master . Once data is recieved in virtual memory of master then same you need to pass to drive thru control word.

I made some modification about HW Configuration and PLC program.

Now it is working properly.

I can give command ( start-stop, rpm etc) from Slave PLC to Drive via Master PLC.
