Master / Slave Simulation

Plazz Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Hi all, Is it possible to simulate analog inputs in a master & slave arrangement? I know its possible to simulate digital inputs (see attached example) but I just cannot find a way to do the same with analog inputs and a search of various help files and forums is not turning up any solutions?! Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, simulation of a slave is not possible because a slave doesn't run a program. So what should be simulated if there is no program? With LOGO! 8 you can use Master/Master. The communication in network mode between I/O's or FB's can be done with Drag&Drop between teh programs. Here you can simulate everything. What you have found is a kind of "forcing". But this only works with digital signals, not with analogue signals. Hope this helps

Thanks in advance for any advice. Plazz Plazz, I've been trying to simulate digital inputs in a master slave arrangement for a long time, and when I saw your post I thought I finally had an answer. I've had a look at the screenshot but I can't find any way to activate the "force" box shown on the screenshot. Is this on the Version 7 software (for an OBA7) or is it on the Version 8 (for and OBA8) Does it work in LAD mode or does it only work with the appalling, unusable FBD programming mode? (I've created sample programs in both but neither works). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, Neil, FBD programming with LOGO! is much more common than LAD. 1. The forcing of FB outputs only works in Simulation mode. In Online test it is not possible 2. Forcing works in both editors, FBD and LAD. But in LAD you always have to find the right coil! 3. Since LOGO! 8 Master/Slave is not the best way to exchange data between LOGO!. In LOGO! 8 you can use the Network mode and program data exchange between LOGO! by Drag & Drop the signal from one to on other LOGO! program. Benefits: 1. Simulation possible 2. Clear overview (data exchange table) 3. No additional configuration necessary But the Network mode only supports FBD. So it is out of your scope. Hope this helps

Dinos Posts: 124 Rating: (13)	Hi, Using Logo SoftComfort V8.1 english version, I tried to simulate a NI (Network Input) in the same way the vídeo posted by Ixo on 7/27/2016, 04:52 PM. A message appeared: "An exception error occured. Your data may be inconsistent and subsequent erros may occur. Javalang Null Pointer Exception" 1. Does someone have this problem? 2. In time, there is yet no way to simulate slave analog input? Tanks in advance.
