EDL AUTOMATION Posts: 51 Rating: (24)	Dear Experts , I want to know , what is the maximum no of ethernet modules can be able to connect to a Single Cpu of S7-300 / 400 family.... for redundancy purpose i installed two ethernet modules, but i want to know other than redundancy for special needs , how many ethernet modules we can able to connect to a single cpu..

You can look up the specs of your CPUs in the following documents: SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 31xC and CPU 31x: Technical specifications SIMATIC S7-400 S7-400 Automation System, CPU Specifications When I don't feel like doing the research in the traditionnal way,I simply open the HWConfig editor of a new, dummy project, and i insert a chosen CPU plus a number of CPs in the rack. Simatic Manager knows the rules for hardware configuration (it has been programmed for such an interface with the programmer)and will warn me ifI try to introduce one more CP (or FM, or SM...)than allowed.
