Hi, See the 6ES7315-2EH14-0AB0 link under entry "Number of operable FMs and CPs (recommended)". About your question regarding to the number of connections can be used, see the How are the communication resources assigned in the S7-300? Have you considered to use one CP to handle multiple connections( as suggested in the above article )? |
- What you read here, please check with manuals and your requirements. |

Thank you for your reply. It says in the product support for 317 2PN/DP that it is recommended to use 8 CP
So it is limited for all S7-300 to 8 CPs? and in the second link it says : "You can configure a maximum of 16 S7 connections via the CPU. The other 16 resources are reserved for PG, OP and S7 Standard Communication.is modbus RS 485 point to point communication considered as which type of connection here? is it an S7, S7 standard ? (diffenetely not OP nor PG) so the main question remains for me is which PLC S7-300 can take 10 CP connections or more ?

Thank you Ayman for the reply. The reply was mainly focused on current consumption from the backplane, the second link says that CP 341 does not consume since it has it's own PS, my main focus is on communication restricstions and hardware/software limits of the PLC itself. Thank you
