Maximum possible distance between S7-400 redundant syatem and ET200M station

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hi, I have redundant S7-417-4H system and I have to configure ET200M station with F-AI and F-DI modules. The problem is that the distance between the Redundant system and the ET200M station is about 3 miles. Now I just wonder 1. Is it possible to configure an ET200M station with 3 miles diatance (Imeanec using FO and repeaters) if not what is the maximum possible length. 2. Does F modules effect the distance limit in anyway. 3. If its not possble to configure directly then what should I do.

Buton page 83in the manual it says that the maximum possible distance between two nodes cannot be more than 400m, have they not considered the monomode cable required for longer length. Just want to be a bit more clear. Cheers..!

Just want to be a bit more clear. Hi, It depents on the Fiber Optic you are using, Plastic, PCF or Glas... There is a difference between Multimode and Singlemode FO. So the different OLMs could be used for different FO-cables, the -1300 OLMs could bridge longer distances then the P-OLM's (P for Plastic).
