MC_GearInPos : masterspeed fluctuating during synchronisation

DavidBrown Gold Member Joined: 6/29/2012 Last visit: 12/25/2023 Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	If a slave axis is synchronising with a master axis or external encoder, and synchronisation is based on programmed dynamic values (acceleration, jerk), if the masterspeed is not constant during synchronisation of the slave, the acceleration, decceleration of the master will be superimposed on these of the synchronising slave. I have some experience with synchronisation on Simotion systems. There, if you are synchronising based on set dynamic values, and the dynamic values of the master change during the synchronisation process, the synchronisation of the slave can take longer. This because I think a recalculation is done. Ultimately the synchronisation step can take very long or even last is f.i. there is a lot of vibrations on the master signal. How is handled with an unstable mastersignal during synchronisation based on dynamic values in a technology cpu? Will the master fluctuations be strictly sumperimposed on the slave (in relation to the gear ratio)? What if the maximum acceleration or velocity of the slave is hit during the synchronisation, will the synchronisation be canceled?

Changes in the dynamics of the leading axis during synchronization are superimposed on the calculated motion profile. This can have the result that the configured dynamic limits at the following axis are violated. This is displayed in the ".StatusSynchronizedMotion.StatusWord" tag.
