MD 720-3 Cablle pin details

Saravana kumar Gold Member Joined: 2/6/2009 Last visit: 1/7/2025 Posts: 939 Rating: (118)	Hi, Can anyone please give the details about pin configuration for the communication between MD 720-3 and PC (for configuration of the settings such as Baud rate and SIM Pin via Hyper termincal) AND MD 720-3 and CP 341 for communication with PLC. It is really a confusion for me since there are different terminalogies used in diifferent manuals. As per the manual the COM settings for communication with PC is given as, Speed ; 9600, Data Bits : 8, Parity : None, Stop Bits - 1 and Flow control : FULL. I am able to set all except flow control because there is no option to selection FULL. I get options 1. Hardware, 2. Xon/Xoff, 3. None.

Note the following settings: Make the connection: COM port to which the device is connected Speed: 19200 Bit/s Data bits: 8 Parity: No Stop bits: 1 Duplex: Full Full is about the Duplex mode and not the control signals. In the same manual, the pinout is as follows: Signals (Signal direction DTE)SUB-D9 socket, Pin assignment RS232Pin1 DCD Output Pin2 RXD Output Pin3 TXD Input Pin4 DTR Input Pin5 GND Signal ground Pin6 DSR Output Pin7 RTS Input Pin8 CTS Output Pin9 RI Output A standard modem cable should fit.
