I have problem with Modem MD720 6NH9720-3AA01-0XX0, or from terminal

I use this modem to send data to Sinaut MicroSC, and that works fine, I use old application CE_X21 S7 1200 library. That application have include send SMS and that is my problem. When I try to send sms he response sms aborted in 10 times and after that cca 10 times he regularly send sms but I didn't change anything in PLC program. The error code that he send is 8160 that mean Short message center of the provider could not be transferred.

I even try AT commands, and have the same response, I send 2 message then he says no carrier:

It seems that with the at commands you have a different error than with the program.

Have you tried adding ,145 to the following command?

Not sure if this helps, but I think it is expected from modem that you insert this to the command.

AT+CMGS=+38598362688,145

Or maybe the signal quality is not good?

Try at+csq? to check the signal.

I try with and without ,145 and it is the same.

I think the signal is good because when I connect to s7 1200 it connect to remote OPC station.

I have two modem that respond the same.

any suggestion what to do next?

Hi,

I meant to write at+csq

at+csq=? shows you the possible values.

at+csq shows you the current signal quality. 

Answer: +csq: 99,99 means unknown or can't be measured. It seems the modem is not logged into the GSM network. I can't tell why though.

Is there a PIN for the SIM card? (Use command at+cpin=) , Is the antenna connected?

PIN is disabled

Antenna is of course connected, OPC state works but connected to the station after 1 h.
