MD 741-1 without VPN ?

The encapsulation of the frames allows to hide the real transport networks. The result is that you have the feeling to be directly connected to the private network. If you don't use a VPN, because the MD741 is connected to Internet,you can only reach public reachable addresses. There are some tricks like port forwarding, or IP mapping that would allow to reach private systems, but they have serious restrictions. So I recommend to stay by VPN.

1988Ace Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	If security is not an issue you could always use the MD720-3 and create a GSM to GSM connection. The MD720-3 is very inexpensive and very reliable.
