MD720 connection problem

I'm trying to test use MD720 for GPRS communication. MD720 is connected to CPU224XP via port 0 (using PPI cable, Estand:03, settings:11100110).
Program in the 224XP is more or less the same like MAS21 example, just simplified (please see attached).
When I connect MD720 to CPU "S led" is blinking fast all the time (=SIM_ERROR). Manual said that this may be PIN/PUK problem, but I tested SIM car in my mobile, there is no need for PUK and PIN is working fine. I also tried with different SIM card but still I have same message.
In the next step I connected PC with MD720 via terminal and got next listing:

It seems that PLC and modem are communicating because remote host, port or modem name parameters are the same as one specified in PLC. But still it SIMSTATE indicates SIM error and there is no APN eventough it is specified in the PLC.

I also tried to make factory reset of MD720 but it is still the same.

Now I don't what could be the cause for such a behavior? Should I suspect on the MD720 hardware or it is maybe problem in the communication between CPU and MD720.

Please give me some advice.

Hello

SIM card must be with a CSD service, PIN activated. (The PIN must not be deactivated!)

I tested a MD720 with S7-224 XP and my sim card had pind deactivated
In data block you must set WDC_INIT_SIM_PIN ""
I mean delete example pin, no leaving blank characters!
In this way it works correctly

I have some news. I made (proper) factory reset and now MD status indicates SIM_OK. But when I start the system S start to flash, theb is switch off, after that Q is start to blink and eventually stays always on. C led in always OFF. When I look manual it said that Q always on indicates high signal quality, S and C off means no GPRS attach and no connection to Micro SC respectively. When I watch 224 code online, initialization is ok, but sending is aborted because timeout (error code 2).
I don’t now why C led is always OFF and why it doesn’t trying to connect to the MicroSC.
Don't now what to try next!

Now about your replies.
In think that I'm using CSD card (cannot make voice calls when I put it in my mobile) with activated PIN. So you are trying to say that I cannot just use ordinary SIM card from my mobile phone. Can you explain in short CSD and how I now am I using correct SIM.

Just for the information APN of the GSM provider was wrong. When I entered correct one connection started to work.
