Measuring PCS7 Function Block execution time accurately

Marif Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have created a Function Block with SCL language which does some complex mathematical calculations. Now I need to know the execution time of the function block. Because it will be called cyclically through OB32, so I need to know if the cycle time is more than the execution time of the FB itself. The mathematical function is quite complex and I am assuming it will take significant time to execute but I need to know exactly how much time it is taking. Thanks in advance. Arif

Dec Gold Expert Joined: 5/19/2006 Last visit: 10/23/2024 Posts: 549 Rating: (107)	You can use SFC1 READ_CLK once at the beginning of your FB and store the time and once at the end of your FB and make the diff. Dec PS Or use TIME_BEG and TIME_END FB12 &13 from CFC Lib.
