Mel setup doesn't start! Stops at "Local host login"

Hello,

I started up my new IOT with a DP screen attached, there I get a black screen with the text "Local host login".
So I restarted/ reset my IOT (as written on the forum and in the start-up guide) for several times but no result. Also tried to hold the reset for +10 sec also no result. Several complete power off and on but still "Local host login".

Then I made a bootstick with your image and put the usb in the iot, the service menu starts, and I loaded in the image, made a reboot and unplugged the USB stick.

Still when I start-up I get the "local host login" screen.

Also tried a second (brand new IOT) but this has exactly the same behaivoir.
My collegea did the same whith his IOT but does get the mel-setup screen. Out of ideas at moment.

(Don't have a UART cable at the moment, did order one)

that is a strange behavior. In my cases a reboot helped, as have read in my posts. 

For how long did you wait being in that localhost login screen? 

I am also not sure how to resolve this, as you already tried to reinstall the OS via Service Stick. 

Do you have the possibility to try another monitor? Sounds weird I know, but I have seen one case with another product where the monitor had strange influences. 

Another try would be to boot the IOT without monitor, but with UART cable. As you already ordered one, please report how it behaves with it.

Thank you for your reaction. I found out what the problem is, doesn't mean I can explain ;-)

I connected the IOT to my Samsung smart TV with HDMI, this had the behavoir like discribed as above.
After connecting it to a HDMI computer monitor it did work as it should. Not sure what the difference is between the 2 screens but it works now :-)
