memory lost value in data block

User_automation Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Please help to solve problem of memory lost value in data block. My machine have problem after main electric shutdown. After we have electric supply to PLC. I lost data value in DATA block (PLC program it have program but lost only value from DATA block) Please see diagnostic PLC even on attach a file. Please help me. What is the root cause? And how to protect in this case.? This is the first time for this problem. "Non-Retain: This option allows you to define the retentive behavior of data blocks." Andrew In Data Block properties "Non-Retain" not selected. Normaly after lost electric supply. DATA block should keep last value in DATA Block. Or in this case we should select "Non-Retain" (For not retain intitial value from factory reset)

How to enable retentive DB's area in CPU?. I can't retentive DB's in CPU rentive memory config (Use S7 V5.5+Sp4 CPU 315-2 DP (6ES7 315-2AH14-0AB0))

Click on CPU315-2, right click, select properties , in properties window select tab Retentive memory, in retentive memory window, user can put DBs which data is to be make retentive. HTH.
