Dear Denilson How is the memory utilization of S7-1500 family when compared with S7-300/400. For instance, a project using 300 k bytes of work memory in a S7-300 will use about the same amount of memory in a S7-1500 cpu. Best Regards Célio Ricardo Quaio Goetten Softenge Automação Industrial

Hi, E.g. the instructions should use same number of bytes, however, I don't know a exact rule to compare both type of memories. You should take in account that S7-1200/S7-1500 save the comments and symbolic names and S7-300/S7-400 not (it could makes, by itself, a big difference). Other point is that with only symbolic (optimized access) the DB/FB takes less space in S7-1200/S7-1500 compared with S7-300/S7-400.

The file with the comparison between the CPUs is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Denilson! |
