Hi All,

I am just curious whether we can read the Tags or Data blocks using SNMP Protocol. I know it can read the network details and other related stuffs. If i want to go in depth to read tags, is it possible and is there any custom MIB available for that?

Just exploring the different options of S7-1200. Kindly correct me if there is anything wrong in the way I am trying to do.

Hello,

there is no MIB for S7-PLC to read out tags.

But perhaps you can create sth on our one like using SNMP Traps and sending value of tag with the Trap-Meesage?

 If there is any link to achieve this, please do share. I will also search for the same idea you mentioned and see how it works.

 I do have one MIB which can read network data. But what I am looking for is reading tags using MIB. And the application example you shared shows something with S7-1500,S7-300. but not mentioned anything about S7-1200. Is it a restriction?
