Migrating texts from Step7 to WinCC manually (@1W%t#ErrTextLib@)

In Step7 I created a error message "Error: @1W%t#ErrTextLib@".When shown in "CPU Messages" string @1W%t#ErrTextLib@ is being replaced with a text from text library withname ErrTextLib with ID equal to value of Process Parameter No 1 . It worked. Then I compiled WinCC OS in Step7. It created a message with text field "Error: @1W%t#ErrTextLib@" and placed all the texts from ErrTextLib to WinCC's Text Library. And when calling this error from PLC this message also appeares in Alarm Control. And again string @1W%t#ErrTextLib@ is replaced with a correct string from Text Library despite the fact that nowit's ID in Text Libraryis not equal to the ID in ErrTextLib in Step7. And even thereis now ErrTextLib library in WinCC.This is amasing fact and I have no idea how this works. I created a new WinCC project, transfered all the messages and Text Library. And it does not work! Everything is the same! The Question: what to write in a message in the field "Error: @1W%t#ErrTextLib@" to get a string from the only existingText Library in WinCC??? (Again 1W = Process Parameter No 1)/ What is the name of WinCC's "Text Library"? Thanks in advance!

These are the mapped IDswith the Text Library tablein WinCC for a message. When you compile the OS, Mapper create the message and Alg create the text ID with Txt Lib in WinCC. There is no connection between STEP7 Message text libraryID and WinCC Text Library ID. Dec

Perhaps you want toknow how messages created with "HWConfig - Report system error" gets into WinCC. First STEP7 HWConfig create FB49 and Co. along with System text library ErrTextLib. When you compile OS: 1:All the texts from ErrTextLib are copy to WinCC Text Library. 2: Alarm Logging creates all the alarms and additional Text entries in Text Library 3: At the end all these Guffy t#ErrTextLib are indexes into table CC_Step7Text see SQL Manager. Change the computer name in WinCC with your computer name and make sure you have defined CP_H1_1: access pointin Set PC/PG Interface. In HWConfig change CPU/CP (MAC, IP for your hardware). Compile OS. You will havemaybe awarning with group display hierarchy but it's normalbecause OS iscreated without OS-ProjectEditor (plain basic WinCC project). Ignore any STEP7 warnings of missing packages (PDM-Siprom etc) if you don't have those installed. You can use PLCSim for test. The following SQL tables are involved in formating the alarm message textin RT: CC_Step7Text, MsMsgs and WinCC Text Library table. Have fun Dec Attachment TextLibExample.zip (535 Downloads)
