Migrating WinCC v4.02 to WinCC Flexible

Fazal Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear All, We have a customer who has the following existing system: Simatic PC FI45 Siemens # 6AV7604-1AA24-0BB0 F-NR.L6 169529 Installed software: WinCC V4.02 Windows NT/SP1 WinAC Pro Installed Hardware: CPU 416-2 DP ( ISA Lite)-slot PLC We have offered him the following replacement solution: New System: Simatic Panel PC 477B with Windows XP, WinCC Flexible RT and WinAC RTX We have backup of the existing WinCC engineering. What is the best way that i can migrate the existing WinCC to WinCC Flexible RT with minimum re-engineering? Do we have a migrating tool for the this? Thanks in advance Fazal

In this manaul http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18796902 ( page 25 - Migrating WinCC projects ) you can see what will receive after migrating.The result is nearly nothing. Better start from the begining and create new project in WinCC Flex. I think this is the right way. regards
