Hello, I'm getting the same error message too when I tried to import a 5.4 SP1 project. Attached is my screenshot showing my versions. I compared my screenshot toClimber's screenshotand my WinCC Advanced V11 only shows "SP1" even though I installed Update2. Maybe because I skipped installing Update1. Do I really have to update my old5.4 software to SP5 for this migration to work? |

I had toget Siemens Technical support to do the migration for me after I emailed them the project file. They were able to magically do it, even though I still cannot do it myself because of migration errors. And after dozens of emails to/from Tech Support, I've come to the following conclusions about migration. The SQL errors were solved by a Repair on the installation of TIA V11 using thesoftware CDROM, even though the software appeared to be fully installed correctly (and all installtioncheckboxes were selected). Also in the 5.4 software (whichIhadto download and install patches for to be able to migrate projects into V11!!) Ihad to openmy project and make sure the CPU firmware in the project was V2.6 and not V2.0. Also in the 5.4 software, I had to go into the blocks folder, check block consistancy, andthen select 'compille all' andhope there wereno compile errors - otherwise migration will not work!BUT I still have 3compile errors relating to the error message "Error: Actual data type WORD does not fit the formal type INT of the formal parameter." Oh yeah, did I mention the compiler report does not give an exact location of the error (like Network XX in each LAD file containing the error) so I have no clue where to look. Tech support had me disable Type Checking in V5.4to get rid of the 3 errors during the CompileAll. Only then was I able to migrate the project to V11. Here is a link to my "how to disable Type Checking" thread. /tf/WW/en/Posts/65358#321350 |
