Hello,

I have a HMI project that I can open it in wincc flexible 2008 sp5. I would like to migrate it to a comfort panel. I have already read the manuals about the subject. I use Simatic Field PG M5. It has WinCC Advanced Combo v15 licence. TIA Portal v13 sp2 and V15 are installed in it.

I am able to convert wincc flexible project to a "am13" file by using migration tool v13. But in the next step I have to open it in v13 and change the device type. In this step it gives error saying that "To continue the migration, WinCC Basic must be installed".

I cannot resolve the issue. This Field PG is Siemens product and I have combo licence in it. Why do I need to install WinCC Basic? How can I install it?

Any help would be very appriciated.

Thank you for the quick reply. ı am really stuck on it.

The steps that I did,

1. I migrated WinCC Flexible 2008 SP5 project by using "Migration to TIA Portal V13" application. It is also mentioned in the manual that I read.
2. Everything completed successfully and ".am13" file is created.
3. According to directions in the manual I have to open it in TIA Portal V13 and change the device type with the successor model. It gives above mentioned error when I do this. "To continue the migration WinCC basic must be installed".

I am trying to follow the the instructions attached.

1. I tried to open it in V13.(open existing project). When I click to open I do not see ".am13" file to select.
2. I tried "Migrate project" in V13. Select the file then I get the above mentioned error. "To continue the migration, WinCC Basic must be installed."

I tried above steps in V15 also with no success.

2. I tried migrate project.I do not see ".am13" file to select.
