I have two virtual machines :

One with TIA V13 SP1 and Scout TIA 4.4 HF5.

Another with TIA V13 (no SP1) and Scout TIA HF2 that I use for migrationg my old and dear and working Scout 4.3 Projects.

All was "fine" until I installed the SP1 in the first virtual machine. Everything I convert from the second one (.AM13 file) is not "openable" by the second one because it says the AM13 was created with a migration tool that is not SP1.

So, ok, I installed the SP1 (TIA,WINCC and Scout HF5) in the second machine and tried to launch the migration tool... Again same result... It seems that even if I installed the SP1 in all of his components, the migration tool is still "old" (V13 SP0)...

Question : where can I find the migration tool V13 SP1 ?

I tried in the scout SP1 folder called MigrationTool but it says that it needs the Migration Tool V13 SP1 to be installed first...

Any idea, guys ?

I had the same problem. 

The TIA V13 Migration Tool is located on your SIMATIC TIA Portal DVD.  When I installed mine, the checkbox was selected to install it, but it actually never installed.   It may be also on the SP1 update, I have not installed it yet.

You can install it separately from the TIA DVD.  Once installed, you can install the SCOUT migration tool.

The Migration Tool is never installed with the TIA Portal!
During the TIA Install the point Migration means the buildin migration in the TIA Portal SW not the external TIA Migration Tool.

• The Migration Tool is included on every STEP7 Prof / WinCC Comfort / WinCC Adv. or WinCC Prof. DVD in the following folder:
  Support/SIMATIC_Migration_Tool_TIA_Vxxxx.exe
• Alternatively you can also download the Migration Tool with a free Trial Version of a TIA Portal product.

For TIA V13 SP1/ SIMOTION V4.4.0.5 you must generate new migartion Files thats correct.

but I solved this in another way :

I found  the Migration Tool V13 SP1 in a folder of the uncompressed files of the TIA V13 SP1, I double clicked and installed it. Then I was able to do everything.

But I think that the main point is this :

You have Mig tool installed V13 SP0.

You install the TIA V13 SP1 and you expect that the Mig tool is upgraded automatically from V13 SP0 to V13 SP1, but this doesn't happen.

You have manually to browse the directories of the SP1 and search it (and also there are other interesting applications which I don't know...)...

Anyway problem solved.
